The lamb is an exceptional village pub. It is situated in teh middle of a pretty Oxfordshire village near to the cotswold town of Burford and on teh edge of Witney (just off teh A40) where the Brakspear beers are brewed. This traditional inn is full of atmosphere; in teh main bar a roaring log fire in an inglenook fireplace, lots of candles and pretty wall lights create a warm ambience. Feature flagged stone, polished wood floors and oak beams create the quintessential and original Oxfordshire inn.
This is a traditional Oxfordshire country village inn, built in the local Cotswold stone in the 18th Century. The pub is destination food led and trades to a wide catchment area of locals, walkers and visitors to the area.
The pub is ideally situated for visitors to the area as both the market towns of Burford and Witney are only a few minutes drive away. The pub is also the nearest Brakspear pub to the brewery where the Brakspear beers are brewed, approx 3 miles.
Trade: 3 trading areas, approx 50 covers plus outside patio and garden area, kitchen (incl. walk in fridge), WC's, cellar and wine store. Large car park.
Private: 3 bedroom accommodation, sitting room, family bathroom. Additional 2 bedroom flat and shower room. Please note the private accommodation is not currently habitable but there are plans for a redevelopment to possibly include letting rooms.
