Who are we and why is being a Brakspear pub tenant different?

Brakspear is a small, friendly, family company which has been in the business of running pub tenancies for over 200 years.

We are passionate about great people running great pubs and are always selectively searching for partners to work with.  Being a family company means we don’t have to worry about external shareholders, so our business strategy is about long-term growth rather than short-term gains.  We look to invest in the right pub tenants in the right Brakspear pubs for sustainable growth.

We care about our pub licensees and treat them as individuals.  Whether you are an experienced landlord or about to run your first pub tenancy, we will support you in every way we can.  We understand pub tenancies and what makes a great pub and we offer the support of some of the most experienced people in the trade to help you make a success of your pub business.

Support

BDM's – We have four Business Development Managers so John Beazley, Mat Aket, Peter Capon or Andrew Christie will be your main contact with the company.  Each of our BDM's only look after around 35 pubs each which is much lower than the industry average.  This allows them to spend more time with each of their pubs supporting you, our pub tenants and lessees.

Recruitment - Amanda Windows is our recruitment manager, and will help you on your way to running your own pub business.  Amanda will guide you through the recruitment process, and help to match you to the right pub tenancy for you.

Marketing – Victoria Lochhead is our executive who will help you with marketing plans, promotional and brand support as well as free services such as leaflet and fax drops to help launch your pub business.

Property – Our pub property department is responsible for the maintenance of our pub tenancies.  You will have a dedicated surveyor looking after your pub.

Customer Service – You will be given a Customer Service Representative who calls our pub tenants every week to take your order at a time to suit you.

Public Relations – Ros Shiel is our PR consultant, making sure Brakspear Pubs is featured prominently and positively in the pub industry press

Cellar Service and BQT – We have Beer Quality Technicians who you can call on if you have any dispense or quality problems in your cellar or on your bar
