"The Horns is our second Brakspear pub, as we started at The Queen Victoria in Hare Hatch. It was a great 'starter pub', but after two years, we'd outgrown it as we just couldn't fit any more customers in! Our BDM could see we were ready to move and suggested we look at The Horns, a bigger pub in the same area. So, after presenting our pub business proposals, we signed a new agreement and moved out of The Queen Vic and into The Horns on the same day, in July 2009.
Brakspear helped smooth the path for us - our BDM was on site the entire day of our move - and they've been generally very responsive to our requests since we've been in the new pub. For example, we've asked for a wood burner for our barn restaurant and that's going in early next year, so that'll help to attract customers. Generally, Brakspear give us space to run a pub business but if we need help we know we can count on them to do what's needed."
