The building itself dates from the 17th Century, with customary original oak beams, low ceilings and uneven floors. There are two bars, a public bar with a real fireplaceand a lounge bar leading through to the dining area. The bar itself is intimate and serves a cracking pint of Brakspear, as well as a good wine list, and all the other offerings you would expect. For those who like to eat outside there is an enclosed beer garden. Situated upstairs there is a meeting room that can cater for parties of up to 18.
