The Chelmer Inn is a modern community pub. Bill and Anne are very welcoming hosts, and create a friendly and relaxed environment to meet with friends or enjoy some real pub grub. There is lots to entertain at the Chelmer, a large screen TV, darts and pool, as well as a weekly quiz with music on Thursdays, and a resident DJ on Friday and Saturday from 8.30pm. Bill and Anne can also cater for functions of up to 25 people, and there is a lovely garden. On a Sunday, the Chelmer is famous for the free buffet that is put on every week at 3pm.

The Chequers is a small, intimate pub within one quarter mile of Brighton 'Old Pier' and even less to the seafront. It is also within 200 yards of the proposed site of the i360 (the proposed public viewing tower on the seafront). A local artists paintings are displayed and available for purchase.
