The Queens Oak is the only pub in the country with this name. Originally called The White Horse, the pub was renamed by Queen Victoria, who planted the large oak tree on the green opposite the pub. Today the Queens Oak offers excellent, wholesome & generous pub food in a warm, informal and friendly environment with a good selection of ales and wines. With a lovely log fire and church pews in the restaurant area, a cosy bar with original brickwork and a locals bar.
